Ultra Heavy Duty 9 inch Retractable Quick Release Trolling Motor Mount Guaranteed to Last Forever
CNC Machined from 0.25″ and 0.50″ thick 6061-T6 plate this linear mounting system with comes with a lifetime, unlimited use, warranty*. This model retracts 9 inches and is designed to provide a retractable mount base and bracket for your Minn Kota, Motorguide, Rhodan, Garmin, Power Pole, Lowarance or any other trolling motor as well as many standard quick release mounts such as RTA-17, MKA-21, RTA-54, RTA-62, MKA-64**. With a built in simple to use quick release mechanism, simply remove the thumb screw and slide the motor off the end of the rail. Easy! Our system is the only one available that AUTOMATICALLY retracts and can adjust the amount of force needed to move the carriage along the rail in a linear or non-linear fashion. Along with the completely hands free integrated brake system that prevents the motor from moving unless you want it to, there is simply no better mounting system available today.

- Can be mounted so the first bolt through your deck is 6.5 inches from the rub rail (Optional BMAP-RE adapter can increase this distance up to 10.5 inches!!)
- The Stainless Steel brackets that attach to your motor are 50% thicker than our other models
- The SS-9-UHD has all of the features of the SS-9-HD PLUS it uses a thicker 0.50″ base and 0.188″ stainless steel brackets. This allows the mount to protrude further out from a flat deck surface unsuported for boats that have a large slope from the deck to the rub rail. This is common on off shore vessels like Contenders, etc.

- Additional mounting options vs our HD series mounts with a bolt pattern further back on the deck and away from the rub rail to provide more flexible installation choices.
- Provides enough retraction to bring most motors fully inside the rub rail.
- Though uncommon, if you need more than 9 inches we fully support up to 44(!!) inches with our SS-X-UHD product that is sold per inch. Typical installs with modern motors do not need this.
- Handles gaps and small spans if your deck is uneven or has a slope or angled section that extends down to the rub rail that prevents positioning mounts close enough to the waterline to allow clearance of the trolling motor shaft.
- You have a heavy motor with a shaft length up to 72 inches and/or in combination with thrust over 80lbs capability, or your going to use the motor in heavy seas such as offshore wreck fishing or anywhere the weather can change or present challenging fishing conditions that demand the highest strength and most stable platform possible for your equipment.
- Your motor has a large skeg and you want to ensure it is fully inside the rub rail when retracted.
- UHD mounts up to 10 inch models require using the 4 countersunk holes in the base of the mount at minimum for proper attachment

I purchased the SS-9-UHD in July 2020 to mount my Minn Kota Riptide Terrova with 87″ shaft. I had one estimate of $1200 to install the Minn Kota on my Angler 2600 from the Minn Kota dealer. I thought that was outrageous once I reviewed the installation instructions. Using the SS-9-UHD did not add any difficulty to the installation. I did the installation myself with the help of another fishing buddy and saved the $1200. Since I was only able to use 4 mounting holes instead of the six, I bought a backing plate to enhance the strength of the mount. I am very pleased with the ShuttleSlide since it allows me to keep the trolling motor inside the boat when it is stored in the boats running position. The trolling motor can be removed for security. Although reattaching the trolling motor is somewhat difficult due to the weigh of the motor. I am considering purchasing the accessory plate which will allow me to use the RTA-54 quick release bracket that came with the motor. Dropping the motor on the puck will be much easier than trying to align the mounting brackets with the slots on the ShuttleSlide. If you are concerned about your trolling motor being exposed outside the rub rail then the ShuttleSlide is for you. The customer support was great and Russ at ShuttleSlide was always available to answer any technical questions. I highly recommend ShuttleSlide.

I sent some photos of shuttle slide and backing plate on my Robalo R272 for offshore fishing. Install went well, with some assistance from my neighbor, in measuring, holding and bolting. Retracted it, stays within rub rails on boat and still allows access, if needed, to forward anchor locker.

My ShuttleSlide (SS) install came out better than expected on my 31′ Yellowfin. I used the SS because I did not like my motor hanging over the edge of the bow when folded down. The SS also sits up a little higher and would slide over the 6” wide front lip on the bow. After I got the SS, I noticed it was narrow enough to fit between my running lights and bow cleats, back far enough to keep from blocking the running lights and, high enough to put a dock line around both cleats. In the end, the Rhodan barely hangs over the bow when running and out of the way for the trailer and docking. I’m pleased with the way it all came out. Thanks again for all your help.
